Telescope news, images as they land, and where to see my prints in person.
First light in Nevada
Sh2-155, the Cave Nebula, 2,400 light-years away in Cepheus: a dark arch cut out of a wall of red hydrogen. This is the first image from the telescope now set up in Nevada, 13h35 of exposure in luminance and colour channels.

NGC 6946, the Fireworks Galaxy, and Barnard 150, the Seahorse Nebula, brought together in a single field: 1,200 light-years for one, 25 million for the other. 12h30 of broadband exposure, and the last image acquired from Texas.

IC 5146 joins the gallery, with 75h43 of total integration. A first for me: the image is a collaboration, my broadband completed by the hydrogen-alpha and RGB layers of Antoine Woj, shot from the same Texas site.

The setup hosted in Texas has been sold. Since mid-August I shoot from Death Valley Observatories, in Amargosa Valley, Nevada, with a monochrome camera and LRGB/SHO filters.
